
Voila! Wow! there wasn't an iota of disappointment on seeing this stylish monument. It is as graceful, elegant and wonderful to look at as it seems in any photograph.
Did you know that it was built for quite an unassuming purpose, i.e. to serve as just an entrance arch for the 1889 Universal Exposition at Paris and that it survived multiple attempts to dismantle/demolish it, thanks to it's height helping it act as a communications tower at least?
